Begin Your Journey in EAL / EAP with Dede Beasley

Designed for those familiar with equine assisted learning and psychotherapy and interested in integrating it with their own professional work or looking for guidance into the field.  Discussion and hands-on activities with horses will cover:

  • Experiential Learning With The Horse
  • Why Horses and People Together – Exercises That Reveal Herd Dynamics
  • Safety & Horsemanship, Dynamics of Safety
  • Language and Therapy, Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication and Behavior
  • Sacred Space Between You and the Horse
  • Detachment and Levels of Dependency
  • Relationship Dynamics With Horses and People
  • Experiential Processing and Awareness

Equine therapy allows us to revisit the past and create a new future.  Experiential therapy is not about the task, but about processing, being in the moment, tuning into oneself and creating positive change.

Day 2 is available to those who have more specific questions on how to enter the field based on the group work from the previous day.  Day 1 workshop is required to attend on Day 2.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 19th, 2011, 9am – 5pm

This will be a small, hands-on workshop designed for personal experience.

This will be a Question & Answer to wrap up the previous day’s workshop. This day is optional.  To attend Sunday’s Q&A, attendance at Saturday’s workshop is required. Limited number of spaces.

This workshop is FULL.  Please email if you’d like to be put on a waiting list in case we have a spot open up!
